History
ASSE's 10th title, winning the French championship once again. The Greens came close to a league and cup double, also reaching the Coupe de France final, which they lost to Bastia. In Europe, they reached the UEFA Cup quarter-finals, eliminated by Ipswish, the eventual winners of the competition. Ten is also the number of Michel Platini, who scored 29 goals during the season.
