History
Roberto Mancini had a good first season in charge of the Nerazzurri. The club finished 3rd in Serie A and won the Coppa Italia against AS Roma. They were also eliminated in the Champions League quarter-finals after a particularly heated Milan derby, the second leg of which was abandoned, leaving us with a memorable photo of Materazzi and Rui Costa. Individually, Adriano had a very good season, scoring 28 goals.
