History
The Seleção, managed by Carlos Alberto Parreira, shone on the international stage. In 2004, despite a revamped team lacking its biggest stars, Brazil won the Copa América against Argentina on penalties. In 2005, with a more complete squad, the team confirmed its dominance by winning the Confederations Cup, once again crushing Argentina 4-1 in the final.
