History
The Dutch team of legend van Basten participated in the 2006 World Cup. The Dutch advanced from the group stage but clashed with the Portuguese in an epic match nicknamed the Battle of Nuremberg in which both teams finished the match with nine men, the referee having distributed four red cards and numerous yellow cards.
