History
Under the management of Christophe Galtier, AS Saint-Étienne had a remarkable season, finishing 5th in Ligue 1. In the Coupe de France, the club was eliminated in the quarter-finals by Lorient. But the major event was the victory in the Coupe de la Ligue on April 20, 2013, against Stade Rennais, giving Les Verts their first major title since 1981 and qualification for the Europa League.
