History
LOSC Lille finished 6th in Ligue 1, narrowly missing out on European qualification. The team, then coached by Rudi Garcia, had a disappointing first half of the season but recovered towards the end. The club played for the first time in its new stadium, the Grand Stade Lille Métropole (later renamed Stade Pierre-Mauroy). In the Champions League, Lille failed to advance beyond the group stage.
